It was hot. And I don't mean, "boy my solos were good and I looked even better." No, like it was +38 in the sun. But man did we have fun.
Because of the heat, most of the people watching were hiding under trees and awnings while the wide open seating area was mostly empty. A bit disconcerting but I could hear people enjoying the show even if I couldn't see them. The volunteers at Moose Jaw Sidewalk days were fantastic and I had a great time connecting with folks in Moose Jaw for the show.
I also had some time assigned to do some busking yesterday. It wasn't my best busking experience (see the temperature above) but I did get to connect with a couple of people that made it all worthwile. Even if it was exhausting.
The best part is I got to hang out in front of the coolest garbage in Moose Jaw

Moose Jaw Sidewalk Days is a great time if you're in the area. Entertainment, shopping and activities for all. I had as much fun wandering around as I did playing the show.
It feels like it was all I've been working on for the last few months - my performance at Sidewalk Days. But there's still so much to do next, I can't slow down!
I'm headed back to Moose Jaw next Friday for a much shorter performance at the Mae Wilson Theatre as part of a comedy variety show. After that, I think it's strategic planning time. I need to get some recordings down on tape to show people and figure out a merchandise path for the next year. It's time to set some goals and figure out what to do next now that I've got a set of songs and a brand set up. The foundations are built - what do I build on them?
